Azadi Tower changes managing director

Nematollah Payan has been appointed as managing director for Tehran’s Azadi Tower, one of the city’s main landmarks.

At the end of his 5-year term as the managing director of Azadi Tower, Gholam Hossein Shahali was honored and the management of Azadi Tower was assigned to Nematollah Payan.

During the ceremony, the ex-CEO of Azadi Tower presented a full report of improvements done during his term and the new manager director expressed his willingness to implement new strategies in order to further improve the site.

Azadi Tower (the tower of freedom) is an inverted Y-shaped monument located in western part of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Just as the City Theatre, Carpet Museum and Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Azadi Tower is a mix of ‘60s modern architecture with traditional Iranian influences.
